How to join ICE
Admission follows the merit-based entrance system of the Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. Inquiries for the 2083/84 intake are open.
- Sit the IOE Entrance Examination
Register and appear for the Institute of Engineering entrance exam at entrance.ioe.edu.np.
- Apply to ICE with your rank
Submit your application with your entrance score. Selection is strictly merit-based.
- Check the merit list
Merit lists are published on the college website and notice board — see the latest under Notices.
- Complete enrollment
Submit documents and fees before the published deadline to confirm your seat.

Eligibility
- +2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- Minimum 45% aggregate or grade "C" in each subject
- Or a Diploma in Engineering (related discipline)
- Valid IOE entrance examination score

Before you apply
When does BE admission open for 2083/84?
Admission follows the IOE entrance examination calendar under Tribhuvan University. Inquiries are open now — merit lists and enrollment deadlines are published on the website and notice board once the entrance results are out.
What documents are required for enrollment?
Typically: your +2 (or diploma) transcript and character certificate, SEE certificates, IOE entrance scorecard, citizenship or ID, passport-size photos, and a migration certificate where applicable. Confirm the current checklist with the admissions office before visiting.
How are the 50–100% merit scholarships awarded?
On aggregate +2 performance and IOE entrance rank. Slots are limited and conditions apply — review the scholarship guidance and ask for the current scheme before enrolling.
Can I apply before my IOE entrance result is published?
You can send an inquiry any time — the college will guide you on seats and scholarships. Formal admission requires a valid IOE entrance score, so enrollment completes after results and merit lists are published.
What is the fee structure and payment schedule?
Fees are program-wise and explained with the payment schedule. Use the fee and scholarship page, then request the current intake-specific sheet.
Which program should I choose with my rank?
Civil (96 seats) admits the largest cohort; Computer and Electronics admit 48 each, so cutoffs vary by year. Send your rank on WhatsApp and the admissions office will tell you realistically where you stand.
