Civil, Computer and Electronics: what the four years contain.
What do BCE, BCT and BEI mean?
The three BE programme codes are mixed up constantly, including by directory sites: BCE is Civil, BCT is Computer, and BEI is Electronics, Communication and Information Engineering. All three run four years, all three award the same Tribhuvan University degree, and all three are entered on the same IOE entrance rank — so the choice is properly about the work you want to do, not about the fee or the cutoff. What the four years demand is fixed by TU rather than by the college. You need at least 70% attendance to sit a semester examination, and you must pass the Internal Assessment in every subject; failing the internal assessment bars you from that subject’s semester examination outright. A four-year programme must be completed within eight academic years, and there is no provision for re-examination after that. Cheating carries cancellation of that examination plus a one-to-four-year ban, publicised through the media.
