Kartik back papers: every ICE examinee sits at Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur

IOE’s Examination Control Division has fixed the centres for the Kartik 2083 back exams, notice 15920 of 12 October. Examinees of Janakpur Engineering College, which is how IOE still lists us, sit at Pulchowk Campus, the Pulchowk centre, for the written papers in the routine, 29 October to 30 November. The note under the table says no examinee may change centre. Find your own page for the day and the hour, plan the trip to Pulchowk, and ring 01-5091616 if anything is unclear.

Kartik back routine, corrected: seven year and parts, 26 October to 30 November

This card first said IOE’s Kartik 2083 back routine, notice 15492, was second year II part only, with every paper at 7:00 am. We had read the one page IOE shows on the notice. The full routine is a seven-page PDF linked beneath it. Practicals and the third year II part minor project viva are dated 26 to 28 October, written papers 29 October to 30 November, and three of the seven pages start at 1:00 pm. Find your own page before you plan.

Vacant seats can fill to 3 Dec

The third list was the last central one. Here is what IOE’s procedure still allows after it

Admission from the third merit list closed at 3:00 pm on 8 September, and that closed the centrally scheduled part of IOE 2083 admission. Three routes to a seat remain inside the same procedure, and none of them is a favour anybody grants you: a fourth or later list on each campus’s own published timetable, extra applications a campus may invite alongside a list, and seats that fall vacant, which can be filled up to 3 December (2083 Mangsir 17). All three still fill strictly in entrance rank order and all three still record you on the central portal. Bring us your rank on any day inside that window and we will read it against where each programme has actually closed, even when the honest answer sends you to another college.

Official IOE admission procedure
Third list admits 7 – 8 Sept

You can only hold one seat: cancel the first before you take a second

Read this before you go to any counter. The three central lists are finished, and admission from the third ran to 3:00 pm on 8 September, but this rule outlives them: it applies to every fourth and later list a campus publishes, and to a vacant seat filled as late as 3 December. The gap between one list and the next is exactly when students take a safe seat and then watch their first choice appear on the next one. Switching is allowed, but the order matters: IOE will not admit you anywhere new until the earlier admission is formally cancelled, and cancelling costs money.

Transcripts dispatched for every programme, first through fourth year first part

On 20 August the Examination Control Division published one notice that covers what the last fortnight covered a programme at a time: transcripts have been sent for students of all programmes who passed the Bachelor first, second, third and fourth year first-part examinations held in Baisakh 2083. If you were waiting for your own programme to be named, it now is.

18 Kartik 2083

Shrawan 2083 back results are out for I/I, II/I and IV/V II, plus the IV/II lateral entry result

IOE has published the results of the 2083 Shrawan re-examinations: I Year I Part (27 October), IV and V Year II Part (29 October), II Year I Part (4 November), and the IV Year II Part old-course lateral entry exam (4 November). Each notice lists the passed roll numbers by programme and sends you to your own campus for the marksheet. Re-totalling runs through your campus, and the windows differ by notice, so read the one for your year below.

  • What changed on this card. It was last rewritten on 9 October for the MSc re-totalling decision (notice 15878). On 4 November the sweep found four BE/BAR result notices from the 2083 Shrawan sitting, and the card now leads with them. The MSc and earlier entries below are kept as history.
  • II Year I Part back, 2083 Shrawan, 4 November (notice 16046, letter dated 2083/07/17, all programmes). Apply for re-totalling at your own campus by 2083/07/27 (13 November). Your campus must forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by Kartik 30 (16 November); the letter prints that year as 2082, which is a typo for 2083.
  • IV Year II Part lateral entry, old course, 2083 Shrawan, 4 November (notice 16045, letter dated 2083/07/17). Re-totalling at your campus by 2083/07/27 (13 November); the campus forwards to the Division by 2083/07/30 (16 November).
  • IV and V Year II Part back, 2083 Shrawan, 29 October (notice 15978, letter dated 2083/07/12). Re-totalling at your campus by 2083/07/19 (5 November); the campus forwards to the Division by 2083/07/27 (13 November).
  • I Year I Part back, 2083 Shrawan, 27 October (notice 15955, letter dated 2083/07/10). The campus stage closed at the end of 2083/07/17 (3 November); campuses forward to the Division by 2083/07/20 (6 November). If you meant to apply and missed it, ring the college examination section on 01-5091616 before 6 November rather than assuming it is over.
  • What changed on this card. It was last rewritten on 12 September for notice 15264. On 20 September the sweep found notice 15354, dated 16 September: the re-totalling decision for all MSc I/II 2083 Baisakh results published up to 31 August, with no marks changed. On 9 October the sweep found notice 15878, dated 8 October (2083-06-22): the same decision for the results published up to 11 September (2083-05-26), which reaches the sixth phase of 7 September and the MSStE result of 11 September. No marks changed there either, and every result stands as published. The card keeps its 12 September date because a decision that changes nothing is not a new result. Both campus re-totalling stages on this card have closed (14 September and 18 September), and the Division stage on the MSStE result ran to 21 September. Everything further down is the same digest it was, kept because those results are still the ones students are checking.
  • Re-totalling decision, 8 October (notice 15878): MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, all results published up to 11 September (2083-05-26). Nobody’s marks changed. By the decision of IOE’s examination committee, re-totalling altered no score in any paper, so every result stands exactly as published. This reaches the sixth phase of 7 September (notice 15161) and the MSStE Structural Engineering result of 11 September (notice 15264). If your number is not on a re-totalling decision notice, your application was decided and your result did not move.
  • Re-totalling decision, 16 September (notice 15354): MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, all results published up to 31 August. Nobody’s marks changed. The Examination Committee reviewed the applications and found no alteration in any paper, so every result stands exactly as published. This covers the fifth phase of 31 August (14962), the fourth phase of 27 August (14887), the third phase of 24 August (14734), the second phase of 21 August (14670), and the first MSc I/II result of 18 August (14563). If your number is not on a re-totalling decision notice, your application was decided and your result did not move.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, 11 September (notice 15264): the result for MSStE Structural Engineering, and that programme alone. The letter is signed by Rina Devi Bajracharya, acting chief of the Examination Control Division, and its programme table has one row in it. Marksheets come from your own campus. Re-totalling applications were due at your own campus by 18 September (2083-06-02) and the campus then had to forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by 21 September (2083-06-05). IOE numbered the earlier MSc results by phase and this one carries no phase number, so this card does not give it one.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, sixth phase, 7 September (notice 15161): results for MArch Master in Architecture, MSDSA Computer Engineering in Data Science and Analytics, MSICE Information and Communication Engineering, and MSRTE Rock and Tunnel Engineering. Marksheets come from your own campus. Re-totalling applications were due at your own campus by 14 September (2083-05-29), and the campus then had to forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by 17 September (2083-06-01). Both dates have now passed.
  • Lateral Entry, 7 September (notice 15160): the I Year I Part and II Year I Part results on the new course, from the 2082 Chaitra sitting. Under I Year I Part Civil (BCE) the notice prints XXX where the roll numbers would be, which is what it printed and not something this card can interpret for you. Under II Year I Part Applied Science (BAS) it lists 60084 and 60085 as passed. Same re-totalling clock as the notice above: the campus stage closed 14 September and the Division stage closed 17 September.
  • Re-totalling decision, 7 September (notice 15159): BE/BAR I Year II Part, new course, 2083 Baisakh. Marks changed in two papers and nowhere else. Electronics (BEI): Object Oriented Programming for roll number 134602. Civil (BCE): Strength of Material for 130123. Every other result on that sitting stands as published.
  • Re-totalling decision, 7 September (notice 15158): BE/BAR II Year II Part, new course, 2083 Baisakh. One paper changed. Civil (BCE): Hydraulics for roll number 135389. If your number is not there, your application was decided and your result did not move. These two notices are decisions on applications already made, so there is nothing to apply for on them.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, fifth phase, 31 August (notice 14962): results for MSEnE Environmental Engineering, MSPDE Power Electronics and Drives Engineering, and MSWRE Water Resources Engineering. Marksheets come from your own campus. Both re-totalling stages are closed: the campus stage ended 7 September (2083-05-22) and the Division stage ended 10 September (2083-05-25). Notice 15354 of 16 September confirms the committee changed nobody’s marks on this batch.
  • Lateral Entry, first year, 31 August (notice 14963): the I Year I Part regular and I Year II Part re-examination results for the new course, from the 2083 Baisakh sitting. One candidate passed and is listed, roll number 60001 in Computer (BCT). The other three groups on the notice (I Year I Part BME, I Year II Part BME and I Year II Part BCE) carry no roll numbers at all. Its re-totalling ran on the same closed clock as the notice above: the campus stage ended 7 September and the Division stage ended 10 September.
  • Lateral Entry, second and third year, 31 August (notice 14964): covers II Year I Part, II Year II Part and III Year I Part on the new course and III Year I Part on the old, from the 2082 Chaitra and 2083 Baisakh sittings. The roll numbers listed as passed are 70030 in II/II Computer; 60015 in II/I Electronics and 60016 and 60017 in II/I Computer; 60027 in III/I Electronics and 60028 in III/I Computer; and 125021 in III/I Computer on the old course. Same two dates again: the campus stage closed 7 September and the Division stage closed 10 September.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, fourth phase, 27 August (notice 14887): results for MSCSK Computer System and Knowledge Engineering, MSDGE Distributed Generation Engineering, MSDRM Disaster Risk Management, MSEqE Earthquake Engineering, MSISE Informatics and Intelligent Systems Engineering, MSMcE Mechanical Engineering, and the PhD pre-requisite under PhD.CE and PhD.AR. Marksheets come from your own campus. A re-totalling application goes to your own campus by 3 September (2083-05-18), and the campus then has to forward the collected applications to the Examination Control Division by 6 September (2083-05-21). The second date cannot rescue a missed first one.
  • Re-totalling, 27 August (notice 14847): BE/BAR II Year I Part, new course, 2082 Chaitra. Marks changed in seven papers and nowhere else. Computer (BCT): Computer Graphics and Visualization for roll number 19514, and Theory of Computation for 20490. Electronics (BEI): Electrical Engineering Material for 18551, and Microprocessor for 22040. Civil (BCE): Numerical Methods for 16634 and 16719, and Theory of Structure for 16659. If your number is not in that list, your application was decided and your result did not move.
  • Re-totalling, 24 August: BE/BAR IV Year I Part re-examination, 2083 Baisakh, all programmes. Nobody’s marks changed. The committee found no alteration in any paper and every result stands exactly as published, so there is nothing to re-check against a list.
  • ⚠ That last one is filed under the wrong title, and it will cost you a search. The portal lists notice 14733 as "Re totalling: BE/BAR III/I (New Course) 2082 Chaitra", which is the previous notice’s heading. The letter attached to it is the IV Year I Part one described above, dated 2083-05-08. Open the attachment and read the subject line rather than trusting the list. The genuine III/I re-totalling is the 21 August notice further down this card.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, third phase, 24 August (notice 14734): results for MSCEM Construction Engineering and Management, MSMSE Material Science and Engineering, MSMDE Mechanical Systems Design and Engineering, MSEDM Mechanical Design and Manufacturing, and MSNCS Computer Engineering Specialization in Network and Cyber Security. Its re-totalling clock was the short one and the first half of it has run out: applications had to be at your own campus by 31 August (2083-05-15). If yours is in, the campus still has to reach the Examination Control Division by 3 September (2083-05-18), so it is worth checking with your examination section that yours was forwarded.
  • Re-totalling, 21 August (notice 14671): BE/BAR III Year I Part, new course, 2082 Chaitra. Marks changed in eight papers and nowhere else. Civil (BCE): Design of Timber and Masonry Structure for roll numbers 22837, 22838 and 22882, and Foundation Engineering for 22422 and 22681. Computer (BCT): Advanced Python Programming for Data Science for 26305, Database Management System for 26983, and Probability and Statistics for 26201.
  • MSc I Year II Part, 2083 Baisakh, second phase, 21 August (notice 14670): MSCCD Climate Change and Development, MSEEB Energy Efficient Building, MSGsE Geospatial Engineering, MSGtE Geotechnical Engineering, MSIEM Infrastructure Engineering and Management, MSInE Information System Engineering, and MSTrE Transportation Engineering. Both of its re-totalling dates, 28 and 31 August, have now passed.
  • Re-totalling, 20 August (notice 14643): the committee changed marks in five papers only, and left all others as published. The five are I/I BCE Computer Programming for roll numbers 10098, 10118 and 10881; I/I BCT Computer Programming for 13565; and I/I BCT Fundamental of Electrical and Electronics for 13561.
  • Before those: BE/BAR II Year II Part 2083 Baisakh new course on 19 August (notice 14611), CIVL II Year II Part 2083 Baisakh new course on 19 August (14610), and MSc I Year II Part 2083 Baisakh on 18 August (14563).
  • Open the individual result notice for your programme on the IOE Examination Control Division portal and check your symbol number carefully.
  • Read the correction notice first if you are in ARCH or ELEC I Year II Part. IOE published that result on 14 August and a Correction Notice on 16 August (14490), and the corrected notice is the one that counts.
  • Earlier in the run: INDU III/I on 12 August, and re-totalling notices for BE/BAR II/I old course on 9 August and III/I and III/II on 6 August. Use the portal entry matching your year, part and course.
  • If a result did not go the way you hoped, talk to your department or the college examination section. All campus re-totalling stages on this card have closed: the 7 September results were due at a campus by 14 September and at the Division by 17 September, and the MSStE result of 11 September was due at a campus by 18 September and at the Division by 21 September. The MSc I/II results published up to 11 September have all been decided (notice 15354 of 16 September and notice 15878 of 8 October): no marks changed. Open the individual result notice for your programme and check your symbol number carefully.

12 Kartik 2083

IOE has revised the first-year class start to 1 December. Ring us to confirm the college’s first day

IOE’s revised academic calendar of 29 October puts regular classes for the first-year I/I Batch 2083 at 2083 Mangsir 15, which is 1 December 2026. The college’s own notice of 2083/05/31 said 1 Mangsir, which is 17 November 2026. We have not been told that the college has changed its date, so please ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 to confirm your first day before you travel.

  • What changed, and when. This card was first posted on 16 September from the college’s signed notice of 2083/05/31 (कक्षा सञ्चालन सम्बन्धी सूचना), which said regular classes for the B.E. First Year, First Semester intake of session 2083 run from 1 Mangsir 2083. That is 17 November 2026; an earlier version of this card gave 16 November, which was one day early. IOE’s revised academic calendar for BE/B.Arch, revised on 2083/07/11 (notice 15968, published 29 October), now puts regular classes for I/I Batch 2083, the new first-year intake, at Mangsir 15, which is 1 December 2026. The same calendar ends the Dashain-Tihar vacation on Kartik 29. Please ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 to confirm the college’s first day before you travel.
  • What the college’s notice says, in full. It is signed by Er. Dipendra Jamkatel, Principal, carries the college seal, and says that at Imperial College of Engineering, for academic session 2083, regular classes for all students admitted to B.E. First Year First Semester run from 1 Mangsir 2083. The scan is linked at the foot of this card and it is the record; where it and this card disagree, the scan wins.
  • What neither notice gives you, so that you do not fill the gaps in yourself. Neither names a reporting hour, a section or room, or an orientation date, and the college’s notice gives no separate date for Civil, Computer or Electronics. Ring us rather than assuming, and ring nearer the day, because the answer will be firmer then.
  • If your seat is not settled yet, the class start is not a door closing on you. IOE’s procedure still allows fourth and later lists on each campus’s own schedule, extra applications where a campus announces them, and seats that fall vacant right up to 3 December, which is after classes have begun. There is a card on this board setting out all three routes. Ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 with your rank and we will tell you honestly what it reaches.
  • Meanwhile the useful thing you can do is the paperwork. Make sure your name is on the Confirmation Page at admission.ioe.edu.np and check it yourself rather than taking anyone’s word for it, and remember that on the IOE portal we are still listed under our former name, Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). Same college, same TU affiliation held since 2058 BS. If anything on that portal looks wrong, bring it to us so there is time to fix it.

12 Kartik 2083

IOE has revised the BE/B.Arch academic calendar: regular classes begin on Mangsir 15

IOE’s revised academic calendar for BE/B.Arch, Baishakh 2083 to Chaitra 2083, ends the Dashain-Tihar vacation on Kartik 29 and starts regular classes for the BE and B.Arch batches on Mangsir 15 (1 December 2026). That includes I/I Batch 2083, the new first-year intake. If you are a first-year student, please ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 to confirm the college’s own first day before you travel.

  • What the notice says. IOE published the revised calendar as notice 15968 on 29 October, revised on 2083/07/11. It lists regular-class start dates by batch and semester, from V/I Batch 2078 and IV/I Batch 2079 through III/I Batch 2080 and II/I Batch 2081 to I/I Batch 2083, the first-year intake. Mangsir 15 is 1 December 2026, and the Dashain-Tihar vacation ends on Kartik 29.
  • Why this matters to a first-year student. The college’s own notice of 2083/05/31 said first-year classes run from 1 Mangsir, which is 17 November 2026. IOE’s revised calendar is later and says Mangsir 15. We have not been told that the college has changed its date, so the first-year card on this board carries both and asks you to ring before you travel.
  • The calendar runs on to Chaitra 2083 and carries more dates than this card does. Please read the full list for your batch on the IOE notice page rather than relying on a summary, and ring us on 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 if a date for your year is unclear.

  • What the notice says. Notice 15920, dated 12 October and signed by the acting chief of the Examination Control Division, sets six exam centres for the Kartik 2083 back exams: the old-course II parts of first, second and third year and of BArch fourth year, and the new-course I parts of first, second and third year. Each row of its table names a centre and the colleges whose examinees go there. One row reaches us: every examinee of Janakpur Engineering College sits at Pulchowk Campus, the Pulchowk centre, in Pulchowk, Lalitpur.
  • Why it says Janakpur. On the IOE portal we are still listed as Janakpur Engineering College, JEC. Same college, same TU affiliation since 2058 BS, and that row is ours.
  • The six centres, for a friend at another college. Pulchowk Campus, Pulchowk centre: Pulchowk Campus, Advanced College of Engineering, Kathmandu Engineering College, Kathford College of Engineering, Khwopa College of Engineering, Janakpur Engineering College, Himalaya College of Engineering. Advanced College of Engineering, Kathmandu centre: Kantipur Engineering College, National College of Engineering, Lalitpur Engineering College, Sagarmatha Engineering College. Thapathali Campus, Thapathali centre: Thapathali Campus. Paschimanchal Campus, Pokhara centre: Paschimanchal Campus. Purwanchal Campus, Dharan centre: Purwanchal Campus. Chitwan Engineering Campus, Chitwan centre: Chitwan Engineering Campus.
  • No change of centre. The note at the foot of the table says an examinee sitting the exam may not change exam centre, so there is nothing we or any campus can apply for on your behalf. Plan on Pulchowk.
  • Your day and your hour. The routine, notice 15492, has its own card on this board with one page per year and part: written papers 29 October to 30 November, four pages starting at 7:00 am and three at 1:00 pm. Tathali to Pulchowk is a trip across the Valley, so leave time for the morning traffic and be in your seat before your hour.
  • Practicals. The routine prints the practical final exams and the minor project viva on 26 to 28 October and says your campus announces them. The centre notice does not mention them separately, so ring us for where and when yours sits rather than reading it off either notice.
  • If you are an ICE student with a back paper in Civil, Computer or Electronics, ring our examination section on 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 and we will confirm your page, your hour and the way to Pulchowk.

  • What changed. This card was posted on 21 September as the routine for second year II part, and said every paper started at 7:00 am. Both were wrong. Notice 15492 shows one page of the routine as a picture and links the whole routine as a PDF beneath it, and the card was written from the picture alone. The PDF has seven pages, one per year and part, and three of them start at 1:00 pm. The card also said IOE would set a separate date if two of your papers clashed. The routine says the opposite: you tell the Examination Control Division, or the responsibility is yours. Rewritten on 23 September from all seven pages. IOE has not revised the routine. We misread it.
  • The seven pages, in the order they sit. Second year II part, old course: 29 October to 4 November, at 7:00 am. First year II part, old course: 29 October to 3 November, at 1:00 pm. Third year I part, new course: 17 to 23 November, at 7:00 am. Fourth year II part, BAR only, old course: 17 to 22 November, at 7:00 am. First year I part, new course: 17 to 23 November, at 1:00 pm. Third year II part, old course: 24 to 30 November, at 7:00 am. Second year I part, new course: 24 to 30 November, at 1:00 pm.
  • Practicals come first. The second year II part, first year II part and BArch fourth year II part pages print a practical final exam on 26 to 28 October, and the third year II part page prints its minor project viva on the same three days. The routine says your campus announces the practicals, so the hour comes from your campus.
  • Five notes are printed on every page. No highlight, underline or other mark in a Code Book, Table, Chart or Graph you take in. Your campus announces the practical exams. The routine runs as published even if an unscheduled holiday falls inside it. If a subject you have to sit is missing from the routine, or two of yours clash, tell the Examination Control Division as soon as you can, because the note says that otherwise the responsibility is the examinee’s. And check the Updated Routine up to one day before the exam begins, because IOE may revise it.
  • Electronics students: the two old-course II part pages print a BEX column beside the BEI column. Read the one your registration carries.
  • The form for this sitting is a separate notice, 15567 of 23 September, with its own card on this board. Its hours: the ordinary online window to 5:00 pm on 1 October, a late-fee window to 5:00 pm on 5 October, and the Examination Control Division in person to 2:00 pm on 8 October.
  • Where you sit is a separate notice as well, 15920 of 12 October, with its own card on this board: every ICE examinee sits at Pulchowk Campus, Lalitpur, and the notice says no examinee may change centre.
  • If you are an ICE student sitting back papers in Civil, Computer or Electronics, ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 and we will help you find your page and your column.

  • What this card replaces. This board carried an admission calendar card from 24 August that set out the three central lists and the exact hour of each one. Those hours have all passed: first-list admission ran 24 to 28 August after a one-day flood extension, the second list’s ran 31 August 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on 2 September, and the third list’s ran 7 September 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on 8 September. The calendar is finished, so this card carries the part of the same document that begins where the calendar ends. The source has not changed: the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee procedure published on 12 August as Admission Guidelines 2083, which you can read yourself at admission.ioe.edu.np under Guidelines, and we would rather you did.
  • Route one, fourth and later lists. These follow each campus’s own schedule rather than the central one, and the procedure requires a campus to publish that schedule in advance. The honest difficulty of this route is that there is no longer a single date for everybody to watch, so you watch the colleges you actually want and you ring them. Every list is still generated in entrance rank order from the priority file you already filed, and every admission made from one is still recorded through the central portal.
  • Route two, extra applications. A campus may take extra applications beside its own list, and the procedure requires it to announce that first, naming which list your application counts for and the date it has to be in by. So a late chance to apply is a published notice with a date on it. It is not a phone call from somebody who says they know somebody, and if you are ever offered a seat that way, ask to see the notice.
  • Route three, seats that fall vacant. A campus may fill seats that have fallen vacant even after classes have begun, up to 3 December (2083 Mangsir 17), on a schedule it publishes in advance. Students who come in through that late window receive their Unique IOE Roll Number on 6 December rather than on 5 November.
  • Go into the late route with your eyes open, because it is the one place in this procedure where the money is genuinely unforgiving. A student admitted in it who later cancels gets nothing back at all, deposit included. The "you can only hold one seat" card on this board sets out the whole refund scale, including what cancelling costs before classes start and inside the first seven days, and it is worth reading before you pay any college anything. That card stays on this board until the same 3 December.
  • Whichever route you come in by, the seat is only real once your name is on the Confirmation Page and you have checked it yourself at admission.ioe.edu.np. A campus that fails to record you on the central portal leaves you not admitted no matter what you paid, and the procedure puts that responsibility on the campus. Check it on the day you admit rather than in November.
  • The dates after admission are these. First-year regular classes begin on 1 December 2026 (2083 Mangsir 15), under IOE’s revised academic calendar of 29 October (notice 15968). Every student admitted by 2 November 5:00 pm (2083 Kartik 17) receives a Unique IOE Roll Number on 5 November. If you want to change programme inside the same college, the college admission committee can do that on entrance merit with no cancellation involved, but only until your roll number is issued, and after that the only move left is from the full-fee category to the regular category inside the programme you are already in.
  • If you believe a later list has you wrong, raise it with the campus first. If the campus does not hear you fairly, the procedure lets you petition the Central Admission Monitoring Committee in writing with your evidence, at admission@ioe.edu.np, while the admission period is still running. Type that address from here rather than off the portal: its own Guidelines page prints it as "admisison@ioe.edu.np", with the s and the i transposed, and the link behind the misspelling points at the address that works. A bounced email is the whole complaint.
  • Admission work may run on public and emergency holidays, so do not assume an office is shut on a festival day. Ring before you travel, especially while the roads west of the Valley are still broken.
  • On the IOE portal we are still listed under our former name, Janakpur Engineering College (JEC). Same college, same TU affiliation held since 2058 BS. Look for JEC when you pick your campus and you will not miss the seat you wanted.
  • If the third list did not have your name on it, this is the week to talk to us rather than the week to give up. Ring 01-5091616 or WhatsApp 984-9668993 and tell us your rank. We will read it against where Civil, Computer and Electronics have actually closed so far, tell you honestly what each of these three routes is worth to somebody at your rank, and say so plainly when the answer sends you to another college. It costs nothing and we do it every day of this season.

  • The rule is in the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee procedure for 2083. Once you are admitted at one campus, and your name later appears at another, you must cancel the first admission before the second college can admit you.
  • Cancellation is not free, and the numbers are published, so work them out before you pay anyone anything. Cancel before classes start and the college keeps 10 per cent of everything you paid, or Rs 15,000, whichever is smaller. Cancel within seven days of classes starting and it is 25 per cent, or Rs 35,000, whichever is smaller. After those seven days nothing comes back at all, deposit included. Section 8 of the IOE BE/BArch booklet 2083 sets this, and section 8.6 applies it to affiliated colleges like us.
  • This is the single most expensive mistake we see, and the days between one list closing and the next one opening are where it gets made. If you are weighing a safe seat now against a campus list that has not been published yet, call us before you pay anyone anything. We will read your rank against where each programme closed on the lists so far and tell you honestly what your odds are, even if the honest answer sends you elsewhere.
  • A gentler option first: if you are already at a college and only want to change programme inside that same college, the college admission committee can do that on entrance merit, with no cancellation involved. This one has a closing date. Every student admitted by 2 November 5:00 pm (2083 Kartik 17) receives a Unique IOE Roll Number on 5 November (2083 Kartik 20), and once yours is issued the programme change is over. IOE spells the example out itself: a student with a roll number in Computer Engineering cannot shift to Civil at the same campus. After that the only move left is from the full-fee category to the regular category inside the programme you are already in.
  • One warning about the late route. Seats that fall vacant can still be filled after classes start, up to 3 December (2083 Mangsir 17). If you take a seat in that window and then cancel it, the procedure refunds nothing at all, deposit included. Those students receive their roll numbers on 6 December.
  • Whatever you decide, the seat is only real once your name is on the Confirmation Page and verified at admission.ioe.edu.np. If a campus forgets to record you there, IOE does not count you as admitted, and the procedure holds the campus responsible for whatever follows.

  • The 20 August notice is at exam.ioe.tu.edu.np/notices/14644. Its wording is general — all programmes, first through fourth year, first part, Baisakh 2083 — rather than the programme lists the earlier notices carried.
  • It says the transcripts have been sent. It does not say where to, and it names no collection counter or date, so ask your own college examination section where yours has gone before you travel to Chakupat for it.
  • The programme-specific notices behind it are still on the portal if you need the one naming your own code: 18 August at exam.ioe.tu.edu.np/notices/14562 (BEI, BCH, BAS, BME) and /14561 (BAG, BAM, BGE, BIE, BEL); 13 August at /14416 (Computer, BCT) and /14405 (Civil, BCE); and the earlier multi-programme notice at /14263 (BGE, BCT, BCH, BEL).
  • Check the attached document for your examination session before you assume a notice covers you. A transcript notice is tied to the session you sat, not to the year you are in now.

B.E./B.Arch booklet 2083

The standing reference for the 2083/84 intake, and the document behind two things that decide real money this month: the sanctioned seat table, and the cancellation and refund terms that apply the moment you accept a seat.

  • Page 10 carries the sanctioned seat table, including our own Civil 96, Electronics Communication and Information 48, and Computer 48.
  • Section 8 sets the cancellation and refund terms, and section 8.6 applies them to affiliated colleges like us. Those are the numbers on the "you can only hold one seat" card on this board — read them before you pay any college, not after.
  • Use it together with the Admission Guidelines 2083 and the latest entrance notice, because dates are set there and can change after the booklet is printed.
