Is my seat real once the college says I am admitted?

Not until your name is recorded on the IOE central admission portal at admission.ioe.edu.np. Take the portal’s Confirmation Page from the college, then verify the entry yourself. A campus that fails to record you leaves you not admitted, and the procedure puts that on the campus.

The central admission portal is the single system every IOE admission has to pass through, and a seat exists when it is on there rather than when a college office says so. The procedure sets two steps for the student. Take from the campus the record of your admission, which is the portal’s own Confirmation Page, then verify it yourself at admission.ioe.edu.np. It then states plainly that a student whose admission detail is not confirmed on the central portal is not treated as admitted, and that the whole responsibility for anything arising from that lies with the campus or college.

What do you do, and when?

1. Complete enrolment inside the admission window of the list that names you.

2. Ask the office, in writing, which seat you have been admitted against.

3. Collect the Confirmation Page from the central portal, which the campus is required to give you.

4. Check admission.ioe.edu.np yourself afterwards and confirm your own entry appears there.

5. If it does not, raise it immediately and inside the admission period, where the complaint mechanism still exists.

What does the procedure say happens if the campus forgets?

It says the admission did not happen. The clause is short and it is worth reading in the original: a student whom a campus or college has omitted from the central portal is not considered admitted, and the entire responsibility for any problem that arises from the omission rests with that campus or college rather than with the student.

Does cancellation go through the same system?

Yes, and so does programme change. Both have to be carried out by the campus or college from its own login on the central admission portal, which means neither is done until it appears there. If you are cancelling one seat to take another, that is the record to ask for.

Where does the central record finally go?

To the IOE Dean’s Office, on a fixed date. The procedure requires the Centralized Admission Monitoring Committee to hand over the details of every admitted student, each with their Unique IOE Roll Number, on 14 December 2026, and states that this submission is the year’s final admission record. Everything the portal holds on that date becomes the account of who was admitted in 2083/84; everything it does not hold is absent from it. That is the reason the verification step is written as the student’s job rather than the office’s, and the reason a correction is cheap in August and impossible in January.

The college’s own portal is a separate thing

It is worth keeping the two apart, because they have different jobs and only one of them decides whether you are admitted. Each campus or college runs its own online portal, and the procedure requires it to publish every application and every admission list there, and to take the Admission Priority Application form through it. The central portal at admission.ioe.edu.np is where the resulting admission is recorded. So your college’s portal is where you apply and where you read the lists; the central portal is where you exist as an admitted student. A campus can be entirely correct on the first and silent on the second, and it is the second that counts.

Why this is worth five minutes of your time

The consequence of a clerical omission here is a lost year, and the person who discovers it late is always the student. The check costs nothing, and the window in which it can still be fixed is the admission period.
